A ghostly cruel smile played upon the elven girls face as she stood in the crowded hall.

Cleome was privy to the secret smile, to her utter disgust. She stood stoic and still, as her noble heritage had taught her, but inwardly she reeled at what she had seen.

Hundreds of citizens in her city had been poisoned, an affront to justice and peace. Surely, it had been beggars and thieves who had died, but never was there justice on letting those deaths go unpunished.

Cleome would not let that cruel smile go unquestioned in all of her noble power.

Thanks for reading my dorky microfiction! Cleome is an OC in my very elaborate story. Stay tuned to read more about her and her struggles!
